Why I’m Done Writing Long Emails About Real Estate Investing
For the last 18 months, I’ve written you long, detailed emails.
Thoughtful. Thorough. Occasionally… exhausting.
Here’s the irony: I hate long emails.
The moment I open something and see a single paragraph that takes two full scrolls to get through, my eyes glaze over and I shut down.
You know the feeling.
It takes a monumental effort to force yourself to read the *&$% thing and even more effort to retain the information.
And yet… I’ve been doing exactly that to you.
Somewhere along the way, I became very intent on explaining everything.
What I was doing.
Why it worked.
Why it was smart.
Why it was different.
It all came from a good place. But it also turned me into someone who wrote emails even I wouldn’t read.
So today, I have a gift for you.
I’m done writing long emails.
From here on out, Tuesday emails are capped at 500 words. These are my opinion pieces anyway. They don’t need a dissertation, footnotes, or a reading lamp.
Short. Clear. Direct.
More me.
Thursdays may still stretch a bit, and that’s intentional. Those are educational. When something actually needs to be explained, I’ll take the space. But Tuesdays? No more scroll fatigue.
This also opens the door to something fun.
If there’s anything real-estate related you’ve always wanted explained, clarified, or demystified, tell me. If it fits in 500 words, I’ll write a newsletter dedicated to your question.
No fluff.
No hype.
No “just stay with me here.”
If it can’t be done in 500 words?
That probably means it needs to be simplified anyway.
500 still too much? Let me know. I am all about simplicity and clarity this year.
