I recently spent a week at the hospital with a sick relative. It was one of the most thrilling moments of my life.

Wait, you say….thrilling?

Yes, although the situation was serious and concerning, it was also proof positive that I had truly achieved financial freedom. I was excited and grateful that I was able to be present when I was needed the most and my financial well-being didn’t miss a beat.

This compelled me to write again about the power of passive income.

The Vicious Cycle of Trading Time for Money

Until the last several years, Steve and I were working tirelessly, TRADING TIME for money, and knowing if we stopped, so did the money coming in. This transactional approach to income kept us locked in a cycle where financial security always seems just out of reach.

The affect on our mindset was disturbing. It manifested as stress over finances, worrying about the next sale, lack of time for family and personal pursuits, and a feeling of being stuck in a lifestyle that didn’t bring fulfillment. We have explored the ancient cities of Europe, driven across the Unite States hitting every tourist site on the map and purchased a family lakeside home. Each trip becomes more than just a vacation, but a celebration of the freedom that comes with financial independence. The ability to step away from work and fully engage with our loved ones is a blessing.

One of the most profound changes that came from this new independence was a deep desire to help others achieve Financial Freedom.
